Carolus is a French-born painter living and working in Miami, FL. Her work is characterized by portraits, influenced by her extensive travels around the world and memorialized through her paintings.

Each portrait is accomplished with her rustic, brushless technique-- using only scraps of material such as cardstock or her fingers to apply the acrylic to the canvas. By combining this rugged style at with other mediums such as fabric, gold leaf and oil pastels; Carolus creates breathtaking textures and unique color combinations.
