A comprehensive retrospective featuring 100 works spanning 1990-2008, the artist commemorated the event by installing four “Spin Painting Machines” in the complex center. During the first two days of the exhibition, visitors were invited to create their own works of art using the machine. Hirst and several studio assistants were on hand to help, and the completed works were stamped with the event details and a place for the visitor to sign their name.

Picasso created this bright and colorful exhibition poster to commemmorate an exhibition at Vallauris, France in 1958. Picasso spent many years working with Suzanne and Georges Raime in their Maura ceramic studio located in Vallauris and he was supportive of the town's annual exhibition. In 1958, Picasso chose to create a linocut in 3 bright primary color. He signed it in the plate and this example is also signed, lower right, in blue crayon and numbred from the edition of 175 (plus 25 proofs), lower left. Printed and published by Arnéra, Vallauris. Reference: Baer 1050; Bloch 1284
