Daniel J. Maier (born 1995, lives and works in Graz, Austria) creates paintings for people who make decisions.
Trained in medicine, he developed a precise understanding of anatomy and psychology before shifting fully into art. His works explore identity, inner tension and transformation with analytical clarity and emotional force.
He began painting in 2020, building his artistic language from the ground up. Since 2024, Maier has been working as a full-time artist. Each piece emerges as a deliberate dialogue between chaos and control — strong gestures shaped by disciplined and committed composition. Emotional intensity is never random but directed and played with.
He sees art as more than decoration. For Maier, art is cultural capital: a mirror of who you are and a signal of what you stand for. His paintings are not only created to match interiors. They are meant to define them.
