About

is an American abstract artist based in New York.

Her work is celebrated for its bold use of color, emotional resonance, and captivating precision. Employing gravity as her collaborator, Kim pours paint directly onto the canvas, allowing the paint to flow downward, drawn by natural forces, and forming intricate, vertical stripes.

“The paint eventually drips off the bottom of the canvas, creating either a natural extension of the work on the surface below or allowing the excess to fall away,” she explains. “The process is as much about letting go of control as it is about making intentional choices. To me, this technique embodies freedom, chaos, and the raw power of natural forces.”

While her method embraces spontaneity, Kim’s finished pieces exude harmony, featuring dozens of shades of color that radiate positivity. Her art is a celebration of color as a transformative force, evoking hope and joy.
